395.) President Obama sent 1200 national gauardsmen to the border. The state department made clear just what those people will be doing; they will not be able to aid in the enforcement of immigration law. So there are too few being sent, and they are not going to have the power they need to actually aid the border patrol agents. President Obama is not only repeating President Bush’s mistakes on the border, he is doubling down on them.

396.) President Obama has decided that rather than stay and attend the Memorial Day ceremony at Arlington National Cemetary, he is going to go on a vacation. The director of conservative Vets for Freedom, Pete Hegseth said. “It doesn’t mean he doesn’t care, but I think it is a reflection of priorities,” and it really is. I understand that President is a young man, and has a young family and they want to travel. But when you become president, you give that up you become the head of state of America. You are a symbol to the American People. That is part of the reason that FDR hid his handicap from the public.  It sends a bad message when, a war time President goes on vacation instead of going to the national memorial day celebration.

397.) President Obama has continueally praised the financial reform bill. But when it is disected, the law becomes something of worry.
a.) It does nothing to regulate Fanny and Freddie, two firms largely responsible for the financial collapse.
b.) It provides for the siezure of private property without judicial review. It allows to treasury secreatary to make a decision on whether or not the a bank is about to go under and then seize it and its assets from those who actually own them.
c.) It does do away with bailouts, but it does it by giving the treasury the power to just open a government line of credit for troubled entitys.
d.) It creates the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection. This bureau has the power product and services that a firm can offer a consumer. It will reduce choices and make it harder to aquire credit. This Bureau has the ability to track your credit transactions and links them for some insane reason to the Census Bureau.
e.) If this bill is passed experts agree that the government will have control over 60% of the economy. That, for you progressives out there who have trouble with math, is over half of our economy. The government will control 60% of the economy, the government, the same government that is running a 13 trillion dollar deficit, the same government which runs Am-Tracs, that is a dangerous and terrifying proposal.

392.) President Obama has asked congress for what basically amounts to line item veto power for the President. What is ironic is that he was one of 47 senators who joined together to vote down similar legislation in 2007.  Joe Biden was also on that list of senators. I guess they simply forgot this is something they are fundamentally against.

393.) President Obama gave a speech at the 2010 West Point graduation. In this speech he made a few comments that must be addressed. “Our adversaries would like to see America sap its strength by overextending our power, So we have to shape an international order that can meet the challenges of our generation.” followed shortly by ”This engagement is not an end in itself. The international order we seek is one that can resolve the challenges of our times — countering violent extremism and insurgency; stopping the spread of nuclear weapons and securing nuclear materials; combating a changing climate and sustaining global growth; helping countries feed themselves and care for their sick; preventing conflict and healing its wounds”  An international order, does he mean something like the League of Nations, oh wait that didn’t work, clearly he means something like the United Nations, oh wait that hasn’t worked so well either.  We have had international orders before, they never work.  An international order has been the dream of Progressives sense the days of Woodrow Wilson. Wilson had this grand idea of a League of Nations that would prevent another world war. Well, President Wilson was President during world war one, I am going to let you the reader tell me whether or not the League of nations worked. Yet like any progressive idea if it fails don’t give up on it, change the name and try again. That is how we got the United Nations. The United Nations is a clear example of the failure of an international order.  The most powerful countries in the world have joined together in an attempt at preserving the peace that resulted in the twin forces of Justice and Liberty victory over tyranny in World War Two. This body passes resolutions, it makes demands, in order to prevent terrorism, prevent the spread of nuclear weapon, and the securing of nuclear materials. The United Nations has failed to prevent Iran from developing nuclear technology, it failed to stop North Korea, it failed to put an end to Al-Qaeda despite their countless attacks on freedom.  International orders are nothing but a step towards global governance, not government, but governance. It is an attack on American sovereignty.  President Obama is laying the ground work for what ultimately can lead to the end of American Liberty as we know it. Look to Europe and you will see President Obama’s grand plan.

394.) President Obama announced on Wednesday may 26, 2010 that he is sending 1200 National Guard troops to the United States Mexico border. At first it would appear that President Obama has finally seen the folly in his plan for amnesty and an open boarder. However if you turn back the clock to June 2006 a similar action was taken by President George W. Bush. President Bush sent 6000 National Guard soldiers down to the border. But wait a minute if we already sent in the national guard why is it that we are still having an issue with illegal immigration and smuggling? The reason is simple, the 6000 troops sent in by President Bush did not do the job. It did not work with 6000 soldiers why on earth does President Obama think it will work with 1200?  Let me put it this way the United States Mexico border is 1969 miles, so President Obama is sending a ratio smaller than 1 soldier per mile. To put that in perspective Alaska has a population of 1 person per square mile.  Now think about the odds of running into a person in the Alaskan wilderness, those are greater than the odds of running into one of President Obama’s national guardsmen.  What this amounts to is a pitiful attempt to appear as though President Obama is trying to fulfill  one of the few jobs of the Federal Government, protect our borders. It will not work, it is a waste of money and time. Immigration is a multi-part issue. You must have a secure border before you can even begin to pretend to control immigration. If you do not control immigration there is no way to reform it.  President Obama and most of his progressive allies are dead set against boarder security they want to treat the shooting pain, not the shattered bone.

389.) Never let a good disaster go to waste, that is the motto of the Obama Administration. Why should the oil spill be any different? While light crude has been pumping into the ocean President Obama has been scheming. Last month President Obama rolled out new Café standards for cars and light trucks. By 2016 he is demanding that there be a fleet wide average of 35.5 miles per gallon. Now for those of you who don’t fallow the world of cars, the current fleet wide average is around 25-26 mpg. Now we have known that these café standards were coming for a while, but on Friday may 21, President Barack Obama made clear his plans for America’s energy and economic future.  President Obama gave federal agencies a year to come up with fuel efficiency and emission standards for commercial trucks and busses.  President Obama said, “I believe that it’s possible in the next 20 years for vehicles to use half the fuel and produce half the pollution that they do today” It is true that increases on big trucks and busses will cut down on carbon dioxide emissions, but why? Even the father of the global warming hoax Al Gore admits now that Carbon Dioxide is not the largest culprit behind the none existent global warming.  He sites that Methane and Soot as the main causes of the non-existent warming.  Professor John Jones, the man who gave us Al Gore’s famous Hockey stick graph has said that there has not been any worldwide warming sense 1995.  The one thing that will come from increases in fuel economy regulations, is a crossed the board increase in prices. Everything you buy from Gasoline, to tooth picks will go up in price. Fuel efficient trucks cost more money than their less fuel efficient counterparts.  A forced increase in fuel economy and reduction in emissions will increase the costs of trucks. Increasing the cost of trucks increases the cost of trucking.  Increase in trucking cost leads to an increase in prices of the goods that trucks deliver. All of that to fight a none existent problem.

390.) After the Gulf Coast oil disaster President Obama announced a moratorium on new drilling off the cost of America, and environmental wavers like the one he gave to BP.  But sense that announcement 7 permits for new drilling and five waivers have been granted.  Why is it that President Obama refuses to enforce the rules?  Again it can’t have anything to do with President Obama paying back those who helped him get elected… could it? I mean BP giving 70,000 dollars to President Obama’s campaign, the largest political contribution that they have made sense 1990, had nothing to do with their special permit.  Just another classic example of a Progressive being unable to enforce their own rules.

391.) President Obama is seeking out more power. He is seeking out the power of line item veto, so as to cut down on the amount of special projects that are put into spending bills. President Bush tried to get the same legislation passed in 2006 but the senate refused to consider it. Bill Clinton signed a similar bill into law in 1996. Now you must be asking yourself why is it that President Obama is seeking this power when Bill Clinton already signed it into law. Well there is a reason for that, it was found to be unconstitutional in 1998. I applaud President Obama for trying to find ways to cut spending, but when he signs bills like the porkulus spending bill, which was nothing but pork barrel spending, it is hard to truly take him seriously on the grounds of being fiscally responsible.

387.) Cass Sunstein is apparently unable to understand the concept of the consitution. You see the consitution is a set of laws that are set in stone to limit the powers of government. It does not grant the government power it limits its power.  Either he does not understand the concept of the consitution or he cannot read. That is made clear by his attacks on the second Ammendment.
“Almost all gun control legislation is constitutionally fine. And if the Court is right, then fundamentalism does not justify the view that the Second Amendment protects anindividual right to bear arms. ” see What did I tell you. Almost all gun control legislation is constitutionally fine. However lets take a look at second ammendment then shall we? “A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bare arms shall not be infringed.”  SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED that means that the government cannot hamper my right to own a fire arm, thats it. Some will say that the preamble of the ammendment means that it only applies to militia’s, however this is not true.  A well regulated militia is just one of the reasons for the second ammendment, it was put in there as an example, this was a common practice in the 18th century and the courts have shown many times that the preamble does not limit or change the meaning of the law.  Some will say that the punctuation change the meaning of the law, that is not true either as the science of linguistics had not yet been invented. Some will point to the Well regulated as to meaning that the government has to be involved, but in the time the law was writen the word regulated ment disciplined or trained, meaning basically they were capable of putting lead on target.  So no, Cass Sunstein gun control is not constitutionally fine.

388.) Cass Sunstein has continueally spoken out against our freedom of speech believing that freedoms are something the government can regulate. He said, “A system of limitless individual choices, with respect to communications, is not necessarily in the interest of citizenship and self-government.”  Whats odd about this is that it closely mirrors what President Obama said at an earlier commencement speech how new media’s are a distraction and not in the best interest of the country.  America is a nation of choices that’s why people come here, that is why they leave the communist “paradise” of Cuba on inner tubes and old tires to make it to our shores. So why on earth should we limit the choices of communication? What is so bad about people communicating, could it be that an informed populous are capable of understanding the theft that is currently taking place in Washington? Could it be that communication is dangerous to the progressive agenda? I know clearly I do not, and cannot under stand the complex workings of the socialist system, I mean it is working so well for Europe right now, I mean Greece looks like the ideal spot to go for a family vacation.  What makes all of this worse is that Cass Sunstein attempts to make it sound like government regulation is nothing to be worried about, “A legislative effort to regulate broadcasting in the interest of democratic principles should not be seen as an abridgment of the free speech guarantee.” Legislative effort to regulate broadcasting, somehow doesn’t impede my freedom of speech.  I believe a simple trip to that old and worn out “charter of negative liberties” (quote barack obama), The Consitution can prove that infact legislative effort to regulate broadcasting is infact an abridgment of my first amendment rights. “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” So lets take a look here, Congress shall make no law the prohibits or abridges the freedom of speech or freedom of the press. So in fact legislative acts to regulate broadcasting does impede my freedom of speech.  IT would appear as though Cass Sunstein has either never read the Constitution or he simply does not care about the law of the land. The Consitution was set down by our founding fathers as a set of iron clad rules that would insure that the government never got out of control, it is not a living document to be tweaked or nudged in any direction you please, unforutnatly Mr. Sunstein has yet to, and probably never will learn this.

382.) President Obama went to Youngstown Ohio the other day, while there he toured a pipe factory that had recieved a over 19 million dollars in stimulus money. He toured the plant and afterwards he gave a speech to the factory workers. He had to pound his chest and brag to those dimwited Republicans and that idiotic majority of American’s who dare to question or doubt the Stimulus Bill would work. In his speech he said, “despite all the naysayers in Washington, who are always looking for a cloud in every silver lining, the fact is our economy is growing again.” I guess he was citing that the area of Youngstown has seen 4 months of economic growth. Well that sounds really good, I am glad to be proven wrong. I mean the plant will create something like 400 new jobs. I am glad to see Ohio is finally back on track. What is odd though is that President Obama said back in febuary that the stimulus bill would create over 133,000 new jobs in Ohio, sense then Ohio has lost 200,000 jobs. To put that in perspective Youngstown has a population under 100,000 people. So yes its good for Youngstown to have a couple new jobs pop up, but the fact is that those 400 jobs do not even begin to put a dent into the job loss in Ohio.  The stimulus bill now has to create 333,000 new jobs in Ohio for President Obama to be prooven right.

383.) While in Youngstown Ohio President Obama gave a speech at a steal tubing plant that recived stimulus money. In this speech President Obama said, “If the just say no crowd had won out, if we had done things the way they wanted to go, we’d be in a deeper world of hurt than we are right now.” Really? a deeper world of hurt, he seems so certian of that. What makes him think that? Clearly the historical record must be fueling his thought process. Herbert Hoover didn’t do anything and look at how bad the great depression turned out… Oh wait Hoover was not a hands off President as the history books and progressives have tried to potray him. Hoover promoted government works projects, like HOOVER dam, he also expressed a desire for fair trade and raised taxes on imported goods. When planning the New Deal FDR took Hoovers policies and dumped more money into them. Hoover and FDR both made the depression of 1929 into the Great Depression. Where as in the early 20’s Calvin Coolidge was faced by a equally bad depession, so what did he do? Rather than increase government spending and raise taxes, Coolidge cut spending and cut taxes a crossed the board. According to President Obama what this would result in was the worst economic depression in the history of the country… oh wait thats odd, I am pretty sure it resulted in the roaring 20’s an era where the United States had the lowest unemployment outside of War Time in its history.  I would like to point out that during the depression of the early 20’s Herbert Hoover (who was a member of the Coolidge Administration) spoke out that the President needed to do more to help those affected. So President Obama your claim has been brought to the anvil of history, and pounded with the hammer of fact, and it did not survive. Government is not the answer, it is the problem, quit trying to give us a jeopardy answer.

384.) While in Youngstown President Obama called for free and fair trade. Fair trade is the worst economic idea in the long sad history of bad progressive ideas.  Another name for fair trade is protectionism. Herbert Hoover attempted this at the onset of the great depression. He raised the tarrif in an attempt to protect American made goods from forgien competition. What happened then was that those nations who had their taxes raised by America then raised tarrifs against American made goods, so then American goods had nowhere to go for new markets. This resulted in lower profits, which results in higher prices and fewer workers. It is a bad idea. If you want to make America prosperous you have to make it place were doing business is easier and more cost effective, you do that by cutting taxes not by raising tarrifs.

385.) During that same speech President Obama issued a challenge. He said if anyone thinks we should not have invested stimulus money in the factory we should go to youngstown ohio and say that. It looks like I am going to youngstown. The government is not given the power under the constitution to invest in private companies. The consitution is a ridged document that binds the government into a cell. They are to opperate within the confines of law. I feel bad if anyone lost their job, but it is not the responsibility of the government to run out and pay for one. The government does not have any money, they do not produce anything… well I guess they produce GM cars… no wait those don’t make money either, they are stealing from the American people and our children. Tax cuts are good, tax credits are okay, government bailouts are horrible. Look at europe, that is the model that President Obama wants us to fallow, Greece is our future if we continue down this road. So yes I do not think, I know that HE should not have invested OUR money in that factory.

386.) President Obama and Eric Holder have spoken out continually about the Arizona Law that makes it a crime to be a criminal immigrant in Arizona.  Recently though something has been brought to my attention. Below is a section of a law dealing with immigration.   I will tell you where
(a) Every law enforcement agency in California shall fully cooperate with the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service regarding any person who is arrested if he or she is suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws. (b) With respect to any such person who is arrested, and suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws, every law enforcement agency shall do the following: (1) Attempt to verify the legal status of such person as a citizen of the United States, an alien lawfully admitted as a permanent resident, an alien lawfully admitted for a temporary period of time or as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of immigration laws. The verification process may include, but shall not be limited to, questioning the person regarding his or her date and place of birth, and entry into the United States, and demanding documentation to indicate his or her legal status. (2) Notify the person of his or her apparent status as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws and inform him or her that, apart from any criminal justice proceedings, he or she must either obtain legal status or leave the United States. (3) Notify the Attorney General of California and the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service of the apparent illegal status and provide any additional information that may be requested by any other public entity. (c) Any legislative, administrative, or other action by a city, county, or other legally authorized local governmental entity with jurisdictional boundaries, or by a law enforcement agency, to prevent or limit the cooperation required by subdivision (a) is expressly prohibited.
Clearly this must be the Arizona law. I mean no one else would have such a racist law.  Actually though, this is section 834b of the California Penal Code that deals with immigration law at a local level. Why has their been no outrage over this from the President? Could it be because California is a largely democrat state and he is affraid of upsetting his base? Could it be traditional unchanged corrupt Washington Politics at work? I would have to say yes.

379.) I firmly believe that most people have known that President Obama was going to have a weak hand when it came to defending our nation from its enemys, but last week while at a congressional hearing Attorny General Eric Holder demonstrated just how week handed the administration was going to be.   During the hearing Representive Smith asked Eric Holder about the three terrorist attacks that have taken place on our soil sense President Obama has taken office “do you think they took the actions that they did because of radical Islam?” here is the conversation that fallowed.
HOLDER:  There are a variety of reasons why I think people have taken these actions.  One I think you have to look at each individual case.  I mean, we’re in the process now of talking to Mr. Shahzad to try to understand what it is that drove him to take the action he took.
SMITH:  Okay.  But radical Islam could have been one of the reasons?
HOLDER:  There are a variety of reasons why people —
SMITH:  But was radical Islam one of them?
HOLDER:  There are a variety of reasons why people do these things.  Some of them are potentially religious cases, so —
SMITH:  But all I’m asking is if you think, among those variety of reasons, radical Islam might have been one of the reasons that the individuals took the steps that they did?
HOLDER:  You see, you say “radical Islam.”
HOLDER: I mean, I think those people who espouse a version of Islam that is not —
SMITH:  Are you uncomfortable attributing any of their actions to radical Islam?  It sounds like it.
HOLDER:  No. I don’t want to say anything negative about a religion.
Okay so basically here is yet another classic example of the Obama Administration going out of its way to avoid making the terrorist angry. Eric Holder refused to admit that all three men who attacked our country were link by radical Islam. It boggles the mind, they continue to believe that if we simply talk to them, the terrorist will stop hating the princibles that America was founded on. Obviously refering to the war as an overseas contingency operation, and terrorist attacks as man made disasters is not making our nation safer, you would think the three terrorist attacks in a year as opposed to 1 in 8 would make that clear.

380.) Attorny General Eric Holder has gone on public record as standing against the Arizona Immigration Law, going as far as to threaten a federal law suit. He said things like “The concern I have about the law that they have passed is that I think it has the possibility of leading to, uh, racial profiling and putting a wedge between law enforcement in the community that would, in fact, be profiled.  People in that community are less likely then to cooperate with people in law enforcement, less likely to share information, less likely to be witnesses in case[s] that law enforcement is trying to solve.” as well as “Well, I don’t think it’s necessarily a good idea.  And it’s certainly one of the concerns that I have, that you will end up in a situation where people are racially profiled.” What is interesting is that last week Eric Holder went before a congressional committee and there was an answer that I found to be quite odd.  Texas congressman Ted Poe asked “Have you read the Arizona Immigration law?” here is the converstation that fallowed.
HOLDER:  I have not had a chance to. I’ve glanced at it. I’ve not read it.
POE:  It’s ten pages. It’s a lot shorter than the health care bill, which was 2,000 pages long.  I’ll give you my copy of it, if you would like to have a copy.  Even though you haven’t read the law, do you have an opinion as to whether it’s constitutional?
HOLDER:  I have not really… I have not been briefed yet. We, as I said, have had underway a review of the law. I’ve not been briefed by the people who have been — who are responsible for that review.
POE:  Are you going to read the law?
HOLDER:  I’m sure I will read the law in anticipation of that briefing.  I know that they will put that in front of me, and I’ll spend a good evening reading that law.
So let me get this streight Eric Holder has gone out and bashed this law, attacked it for possibly violating a person’s rights, but he has not read the law itself? Like Congressman Poe said the bill is only 10 pages long, if I was sent by the White House to investigate a law the first thing I would do is read it.  From this conversation it becomes quite clear that Eric Holder is not going to base how he is going to proceed based on his own judgement, instead he is going to wait until administration officals tell him how he thinks. And another thing He is going to spend a good evening reading the law, a whole evening the law is only ten pages long, how can that possibly take up an entire evening of your time? Yet another prime example of unqualified individuals that currently infest the halls of the White House. They are like termites and they are eating away at our country.

381.) President Obama came out last week talking about the BP oil spill, here is just a little of what he said. “There’s enough responsibility to go around and all parties should be willing to accept it.  That includes, by the way, the federal government.  For too long, for a decade or more, there’s been a cozy relationship between the oil companies and the federal agency that permits them to drill.  It seems as if permits were too often issued based on little more than assurances of safety from the oil companies.  That cannot and will not happen anymore.” The President then said, “This is a responsibility that all of us share.  The oil companies share it, the manufacturers of this equipment share it, the agencies in the federal government in charge of oversight share that responsibility.  I will not tolerate more finger-pointing or irresponsibility.”  Thats is rediculous in every way shape and form of the word. First off the oil execs where called to Washington as experts if they did not testify they would have been held in contempt, it was not finger pointing, it was the process of justice. Second, I see President Obama blaming the evil executives, and those devilish government agencies, but nowhere do I see him saying that he made a mistake, it was President Obama who granted BP and exemption from certian saftey and enviromental standards (a payback for the campaign). He is trying to once again position himself as a Washington outsider. Unfortunatly he is not a Washington Outsider, he has been an insider sense he went to the Senate. He embodies everything that is wrong with Washington, corruption, ignorance, and arrogance. Rather than admit his failing he is shifting the blame and trying to pretend like he has the clean record of a nun.

376.) President Obama’s unconstitutional Regulatory Czar Cass Sunstein has a vary interesting view about freedom of speech. You see Cass Sunstein has publically said that the government needs to step in and ban certian types of speech. He believes that the government should make anything it deems to be a conspiracy theory illegal. He says that the government can…
I.) Levy a Tax on anyone who spreads conspiracy theories,
II.) The government must engage in counterspeech to discredit the conspiracy theorist, (rather than disprove)
III.) The government needs to hire crediable individuals to engage in counter-speech.
in the article in which these suggestions come from the conclusion of the article suggest that the government should get involved in breaking up some conspeiracy theories, doing so by enlisiting private parties to supply rubuttals, and by infiltrating their groups.
this sounds a lot more like Soviet Russia then it does the United States of America, this guy is in a position of basically unlimited power as his position is not outlined by the consitutition and he is not bound to the approval of congress.  Judge me by the company I keep, President Obama said, well it is clear that President Obama does not believe in the freedom of speech.

377.) President Obama has taken the fight against “confusing” information, his nominee for the United States Supreme Court has given and will only give one interview. This interview was not even given to a new network, instead the White House used its own new in house media to conduct the interview. Ms. Kagan was not interviewed by a trained reporter or a political analyst instead it was conducted by a White House Staffer. The video is available on  the White House website. I watch this video and was disgusted at the soft open ended questions that were given. There was no confrontations or attempts to force Kagan to be honest, she was allowed to say whatever she wanted and not called on any of it.  This form of giving an interview actually matches up 100% with Kagan’s views on the first Ammendment. In 1996 Elena Kagan wrote a paper in which she said “If there is an over-abundance of an idea in the absence of direct governmental action, which there might well be when compared with some ideal state of public debate, then action disfavoring that idea might unskew rather than skew public discourse”  The government is required to step in and make sure there is not too much Rushlimbaugh, Glenn Beck, or right wing blogger nuts spreading the truth… I mean lies. Lies such as, the healthcare bill will raise the deficit, the health care bill will not make premiums go down, you know simple things.

378.) Elena Kagan thinks that Cass Sunstein is and I qoute, “Cass Sunstein is the preeminent legal scholar of our time — the most wide-ranging, the most prolific, the most cited, and the most influential”  A soon to be supreme court justice supporting a man who believes that the government should regulate freedom of speech… I believe Ms. Kagan’s views are becoming far too clear, and the clearer they become the more terrifying they become.
