Relgious Support

635.) Did you hear about what Rick Santorum has done? He has announced a plan to turn members of the church in soldiers for his campaign.  This is part of his plan to target white voters.  Of course you haven’t because it hasn’t happened, if it had, the left wing propaganda, aka the mainstream news media,  would have flooded every last vessel at their disposal, so as to discredit and destroy the conservative candidate.   This story is not one of fiction though, this tale is a true as the compass on a ship. The truth is only a few minor tweaks away. You see there was a politician calling for action in religious congregations, there was a politician calling for members of the church to go out and get active politically. And yes this man is targeting a certain race of Americans. That man is President Barack Obama.  President Obama said that previous generations of African Americans “made it possible for someone like me to be here today. … We are greater together than we can ever be on our own” he urged African Americans to attend training sessions at historically black colleges and universities, or train to be congregation captains.  “congregation captains will take the lead on educating congregations about the importance of participating in this campaign and how to get involved,” according to Obama’s campaign website. “You’ll reach out to key church members and mobilize your personal networks with house parties and other outreach activities, as well as provide assistance in conducting voter registration drives” The message was obviously directed to get African Americans out to vote for President Obama. I have no issue with him trying to get people together, that is a good thing when people unite, put aside their differences and come together as one people. But that is not what President Obama is doing. He is singling out one people and keeping the nation divided. Wasn’t he supposed to bring in an era of post racialism? Why then is he focusing on African Americans as opposed to speaking to Americans as a whole? Why is it that this President who has claimed that the church should play no part in the government, and expressed these opinions by sending the governments dogs after religious orginizations, is trying to mobilize people through the church? More importantly why is that the media is not jumping down the Presidents throat for this clear “racist” act?

  1. @LadyboyRevolution – I don’t I merely highlight the facts about the President that the media would rather you not know. In so doing inspire thought provoking discussions that force a mind to think outside of its comfort zone. Maybe not for those involved but rather those who are reading.

  2. @mtngirlsouth – that was oddly blunt. Would you mind elaborating, such as what section of Lowes they come from and why?

  3. @mtngirlsouth – simple disdain for politicians isn’t enough in this respect EVERYONE dislikes politicians. So what are your reasons for disliking them?

  4. Can’t read…wall of text…terrible grammar…Oh god my eyes have exploded.

  5. @SlackerSociety – “simple disdain for politicians isn’t enough in this respect EVERYONE dislikes politicians.Sowhat are your reasons for disliking them?”Read the post. Recap:”President Obama said that previous generations of African Americans “made it possible for someone like me to be here today. “You’ll reach out to key church members and mobilize your personal networks with house parties and other outreach activities, as well as provide assistance in conducting voter registration drives” The message was obviously directed to get African Americans out to vote for President Obama………………………………………………He is singling out one people and keeping the nation divided.”And that is just the tip of the iceberg. Unless you were referring to this:”LOL How about useful idiots?” Which was talking about this: “More importantly why is that the media is not jumping down the Presidents throat for this clear “racist” act?”

  6. @mtngirlsouth –  I was not referring to someone else’s reasons, I was referring to your personal reasons. I was wanting an opinion, not a repost.

  7. The GOP.COM site has clear sections aimed at Latinos and Women (see top of main page) Does that make ’em racist and sexist? What’s the difference from the Obama Black campaign?http://www.gop.com/index.php

  8. @SlackerSociety – I am sick of being lied to. I am sick of my rights being taken away while the rest of the world tweets and worries about what is happening on Desperate Housewives. I am sick of the liberals who seem to have needs confused with rights. I am sick of the government spending money they don’t have to fix problems they created. And people who think that that is what the government is supposed to do, instead of them taking any responsibility for their own lives. I am not in favor of a huge government in charge of every aspect of my life. I am not in favor of a huge government in charge of every business in America. I am for real actual liberty, which means that people will be offended by each other, but are still free to feel and say whatever they wish. And the thing that ticks me off the most about the state of affairs in America today is that even though I have been screaming, and other people like me have been too, America has still stayed on this course of self destruction, and it will be my children and grandchildren who end up paying the price for all this lazy minded stupidity that everyone seems to think will be some kind of easy street for us paved by the benevolent government.

  9. Thought I’d throw in my tuppence (sorry, L., I love that saying)… Wasn’t he supposed to bring in an era of post racialism? He’s a politician. Did anyone actually believe him? Why then is he focusing on African Americans as opposed to speaking to Americans as a whole? Statistically, the majority of African Americans vote Democrat. Reckon if they could watch a debate between Juan Williams and Walter Williams, they may think differently as Walter would sweep Juan under the carpet. Why is it that this President who has claimed that the church should play no part in the government, and expressed these opinions by sending the governments dogs after religious orginizations, is trying to mobilize people through the church?  This is your classic double standard, which happens to be very prevalent in this administration. Also, keep in mind where wonder boy was schooled on Sundays.More importantly why is that the media is not jumping down the Presidents throat for this clear “racist” act?The media has been bought and paid for as they receive federal dollars, so they are naturally going to be bias (Hell, it’s their bread and butter. Unfortunately, it’s our money)Thanks, Obamawatch. Enjoyed this one….

  10. I searched the quote about organizing churches and the first hit was the forums at scam.com debunking it as a bullshit (and poorly put together) website that now says “bandwidth exceeded”.  There is a single “african americans for barrack obama” page on the obama campaign website, and one for women, other minorities, people of faith, and all 50 states.  People started using that to race-bait and it apparently wasn’t inflammatory enough, so they made their own bullshit page to bitch about.@mtngirlsouth – You’re sick of being lied to?  These quotes and the website they came from are fake, you’re being lied to and lapping it up.@LadyboyRevolution – @SlackerSociety – @bloggicus_maximus – @Kellsbella – See the above, this is fake.

  11. @agnophilo – Haven’t read the link, but I really could give a fat rat’s tiddely-boomp. I get my information from the horse’s mouth, so to speak (not ESPN but CSPAN ; yes, it’s more entertaining than female mud-wrestling) All I do know, is that he has given some very left leaning speeches at African-American fundraisers. Can I just say I really hate that term? My black friends tell me to call them black not African American — I digress….. Where was I? Oh yes. Obama is the mulatto version of Bush, which is why I voted for Ron Paul. For me, it all boils down to the priciples that the Framers envisioned.

  12. @agnophilo – Oh, I know. The fact this guy spewed that crap while butchering English is what bothers me. If people want to be viewed as intelligent, put a little more effort than whatever this is into it.

  13. @Kellsbella – If we went by what the framers envisioned obama would be 3/5ths of a person. And the framers didn’t envision a world where the government did nothing, modern republican politicians and pundits do because they prefer sink or swim capitalism because they’re all filthy rich and have an advantage.

  14. @agnophilo – That is typical bull crap drummed up by the left trying to rewrite history, something you accused me of in the previous post. That prevision was put in the constitution against the will of the south, the south wanted slaves to count as a person, so that way the south would have more representatives and they would have been able to control congress, and thus they would be able to ensure that slavery was never repealed.  Frederick Douglass actually proclaimed that the constitution, as laid out by the framers, was an anti-slavery document.  If you read the convention notes, the facts tell the true story.

  15. @bloggicus_maximus – haha I love when that is someones defense against a blog. Their grammer sucks, so clearly their is no truth.  Anyways I bid you welcome.

  16. @agnophilo – WTF? Obamawatch covered half the argument. Let me cover the other: Capitalism. It’s that great little thing that can ensure that anyone can indeed become “filthy rich”. But here’s the problem: Ex. You got a foreigner that used to be able to start up a taxi stand in N.Y. He did it and he made a crap-load of money. It was what the hello the people wanted and needed, right? Well, now, these days you’ve got these regulations in order to feed the govt. coffers. So the foreigner must raise (I believe in N.Y.) 100k to get his taxi business going. I’m all for paying the piper, but at some point it gets to the point of absurdity. I could go on and on about this issue, but I’m currently trying to write a post…

  17. @Kellsbella – I looked into it and it was interesting to read about – the government doesn’t mandate that you pay 100k to them to get a medallion, that’s just what they’re worth if you want to sell yours to someone else (because having one is very profitable).  And the reason you have to have a medallion (which just allows you to pick up street fares, anyone can operate a business where you call for a cab) is because during the great depression there were vastly more cabs than passengers, so they were drowning in competition.  So they created the medallion system to make sure there aren’t more cabs than passengers so cabbies wouldn’t be starving.  Not quite the sinister situation you made it out to be.

  18. @agnophilo – Sorry, luv. I responded to the fella below you. Basically, I just pondered the exorbitant amount that a person is required to pay. This also does not include taxes, licensing fees, &c. How can an individual with no means rise to his expectations if there are so many roadblocks?

  19. @agnophilo – I dislike crony capatalism. It is as rampant in this administration as it was in the last.

  20. @Kellsbella – The alternative is there being so many cabbies they’re all starving, which would you choose?  And again the market sets the price, not the government.  And as I said anyone can start up a cab company, they just need a medallion to take fares randomly from people on the street.  And wouldn’t crony capitalism be if the mayor or governor were handing out medallions or selling them on the cheap to his buddies?  How is a public auction crony capitalism? That word, I do not think it means what you think it means.

  21. @agnophilo – You know my policy on language, so i have deleted your post, please re-post with out the profanity.

  22. @agnophilo –  you mentioned the medallion, I am curious, legitimately curious, about how you go about getting one? Lets say I am tired of my job, and just happen to own a yellow crown vic, what do I have to do to get that medallion, who do I talk to, how much do they costs.  This is the first time I have heard about them.

  23. @obamawatch – Buy one from someone else for whatever they’re willing to sell it to you for like any commodity.  And which post did you delete?

  24. @agnophilo – Well I know, that’s how the free market works. How much do they typically cost? I sent you a message about it.

  25. @obamawatch – Two recently sold for a million dollars (for the pair, not each) which is the most they’ve ever sold for, so they can sell for a few hundred thousand.  Bear in mind though that a single NY cabbie can make over 100k a year and a manhattan apartment averages something like 2 million dollars, it’s one of the most expensive places to live in the world.  And that people buy them as investments since they can lease them out to other people and cab companies.
