A Story of Gun Control

638.) So Attorney General Eric Holder has come under fire for his departments failed policy known as Fast and Furious. A video from 1995 has come up that sheds light on his life long crusade against guns, and puts Fast and Furious into new light.

In the video Mr. Holder called for the brainwashing of the American people against Guns. If you don’t believe me, here are his exact words, “We have to be repetitive about this, we need to do this every day of the week, and just really brainwash people into thinking about guns in a vastly different way.” Brainwashing the public, how do you feel about that? Here is a man calling for the public to be brainwashed into giving up a right guaranteed in the Constitution of the United States of America. Forget about the guns issue, focus on the fact that this man is trying to brain wash people into giving up their rights. Whats next? What if it wasn’t guns he wanted to brain wash people against, what if it was free speech, freedom of religion, freedom to assemble, a right to a fair trial, a right to a trail by jury? It is a terrifying concept.

To illustrate how bone chilling this thought can be, lets look at one of the quotes from the clip, Mr. Holder said, “What we need to do is change the way in which people think about guns, especially young people, and make it something that’s not cool, that it’s not acceptable, it’s not hip to carry a gun anymore, in the way in which we changed our attitudes about cigarette”  What if you replace the word “guns” with “speaking out about the government” how does this grab you, “What we need to do is change the way in which people think about speaking out about the government, especially young people, and make it something that’s not cool, that it’s not acceptable, it’s not hip to speak out against the government anymore, in the way in which we changed our attitudes about cigarette” Whether or not you like guns is irrelevant, the two  quotes are the same thing. They both call for brainwashing people into giving up their rights.

Now of course I cannot build a case against the Attorney General trying to brainwash everyone into giving up all of our rights. However this video does shed new light on operation Fast and Furious. The reckless actions of Eric Holders department resulted in hundreds of deaths including that of a U.S. Boarder Patrol Agent. I can build a case for Fast and Furious being part of  Attorney General Eric Holder’s campaign to brainwash Americans into forsaking our rights.

The simple fact of the mater is that Operation Fast and Furious was an attempt to justify more gun control. Eric Holder himself said that if their was more gun control the problem would not have happened. The issue of course being that emails between gun dealers and the ATF prove that the ATF was encouraging behavior that the dealers normally would not have partaken in.  So why would the ATF push these dealers to sell guns to people they normally would not have? Well when the Attorney General wants ad agencies, school districts, and Icons of pop culture to speak out against guns, it only makes sense that they would try to do anything in their power to fuel the fires of gun hatred.  In the congressional hearings progressives including the Attorney General tried to pin the blame on the evil gun dealers, it was not until the damning emails were released that their facade broke down.

This video is just more evidence of the big government progressive ideology that permeates the Obama Administration. One of nudging people to servant hood.

  1. “What if you replace the word “guns” with “speaking out about the government””Whats next? What if it wasn’t guns he wanted to brain wash people against, what if it was free speech, freedom of religion, freedom to assemble, a right to a fair trial, a right to a trail by jury? It is a terrifying concept.”Strawman fallacy, slippery slope fallacy.  Substituting what someone says for something worse and pretending he said the other thing is just silly.  And trying to make guns less popular among young people in no way infringes upon your right to have them any more than trying to keep teens from drinking is the same as bringing back prohibition.”This video is just more evidence of the big government progressive ideology that permeates the Obama Administration. One of nudging people to servant hood.”Law enforcement officers have from time to time crossed the line from catching criminals to entrapment since long, long before obama took office, and will continue to do so long after he leaves, and not just the ATF and not just in gun-related crimes.  Obama is not a five hundred headed monster, he is not “the government”.  If you want to tie something people in the ATF do to obama you have to show that it was a result of policies set forth by the administration.  Likewise, if you’re the manager of a large store and someone steals money from the till, the police aren’t going to show up and arrest you unless you were somehow implicated.  People blamed bush for his actual policies, they didn’t say “my package got lost in the mail…  damn you george bush!”  As though he were somehow personally responsible for anything anyone in any government agency does. That kind of thinking is so illogical and hateful it is part of what makes people think the hatred for obama is more to do with something else, like skin color or some other prejudice.

  2. To vote Democrat you have to be brainwashed. To believe in “Hope and Change” you have to be brainwashed. It looks like Holder is correct.

  3. The man makes this speech in 1995 then set up publicity stunt trying an enact more gun laws in 2008. I would say this video helps to make the case about just what Holder’s motivations were. And people died because it it

  4. i am getting all sorts of crap in my email inbox from “well-meaning friends” that obama declared (quietly) martial law as of last friday. i searched all over the net to get RELIABLE info but it’s from all the same doomsday hounds so i want to know what is real.

  5. @trunthepaige – No, I’m basing my opinion on this blog.@trunthepaige – How exactly did people die because of something eric holder did?@Composing_Life – I didn’t know there was such a thing as a quiet declaration, lol.  I googled it and this is what they’re spinning as a declaration of martial law.  It isn’t.  To quote fox news:”President Barack Obama issued an Executive Order on March 16 giving the White House absolute control over all the country’s natural resources in case of a natural disaster or during a time of war…  the text of the document itself does not limit implementation to a time of war. In fact, the specific sections of the order make it clear that the President can take complete command and control of the country’s natural resources in peacetime, as well.”Martial law can already be declared in war or peacetime, this is absolutely nothing new but they’re spinning it into taking freedoms away.Just more bullshit.@trunthepaige – Thank you for being skeptical.  Seriously, thanks.

  6. @trunthepaige – So eric holder is responsible for what a cop-killer does?  I get that they botched the operation, but to blame the ATF or the justice department for independent acts of criminals is a bit of a stretch.

  7. And @agnophilo – and at the same time they were fedding guns to mexican criminals and not making arrests they were pushing for new gun control laws using violence from there owe pet criminals as justification for these new law. That Sounds very corupt and lying to congress

  8. @trunthepaige – They were actually trying to trace the guns for law enforcement purposes right?  Is it incompetence or corruption?  You act like ATF agents were selling them out of the back of an unmarked van and pocketing the money.  And how is that hypocritical?  The DEA uses real confiscated drugs for drug stings and cops go undercover and buy drugs with federal money to infiltrate drug cartels all the time.  The scandal here is that they screwed up and/or it was a bad plan.

  9. Restrictive laws always have and always will only affect those people who care about abiding by the law. He can chew on that while I continue getting my CHL. Which takes a freaking long time because of how many checks and ids they have to make. In fact, the checks are so extensive that cops tend to say that they automatically like someone who they pull over who has a concealed handgun license- because that means that the person they are pulling over is already a basically good guy, as far as records go.

  10. If they were then they are total incompetents. But they were strongly pushing for new laws based on the crimes they were encouraging @agnophilo –

  11. @trunthepaige – If they were then that is BS.  If however those crimes were already taking place (and I can’t think of one that isn’t to some degree) then not so much.  If for instance a drug cop botches a sting operation and loses 20 pounds of cocaine to drug dealers and simultaneously the DEA is pushing for tougher drug laws, one doesn’t negate the other.  Of course in that instance drug policies are insane anyway, so yeah.Criticizing people for incompetence is fine, but when it’s the obama administration everyone seems to want to make it out to be some kind of evil conspiracy.

  12. I doubt Obama or Holder think of playing politics in order to get new anti gun laws passed is evil. The ends justify the means. @agnophilo –

  13. @trunthepaige – Um, what anti-gun laws has obama supported?  If I’m not mistaken the only gun legislation he’s signed has expanded gun rights.

  14. @agnophilo – President Obama has supported anti gun legislation in the past,ILSenate Bill 2165: designed to assert a right of citizens to protect themselves against home invasions, such that self-defense requirements would beviewed to take precedence over local ordinances against handgun possession. While in the Illinois Senate Mr. Obama said voted to allow retired police officers to carry concealed weapons, when asked about the vote he said, “I didn’t find that [vote] surprising. I am consistently on record and will continue to be on record as opposing concealed carry. This was a narrow exception in an exceptional circumstance where a retired police officer might find himself vulnerable as a consequence of the work he has previously done–and had been trained extensively in the proper use of firearms”He has said, “I believe in keeping guns out of our inner cities and that our leaders must say so in the face of the gun manufacturers lobby.”He stood by the D.C. Hand Gun ban, In 2000, Illinois State Senator Obama cosponsored a bill to limit hand gun purchases to 1 per month, (the bill obviously did not pass)On the assault weapons ban:KEYES: [to Obama]: I am a strong believer in the second amendment. The gun control mentality is ruthlessly absurd. It suggests that we should pass a law that prevents law abiding citizens from carrying weapons. You end up with a situation where the crookhave all the guns and the law abiding citizens cannot defend themselves. I guess that’s good enough for Senator Obama who voted against the bill that would have allowed homeowners to defend themselves if their homes were broken into.OBAMA: Let’s be honest. Mr. Keyes does not believe in common gun control measures like the assault weapons bill. Mr. Keyes does not believe in any limits from what I can tell with respect to the possession of guns, including assault weapons that have only one purpose, to kill people. I think it is a scandal that this president did not authorize a renewal of the assault weapons ban.Sense becoming President he has not been going after guns through legislation, however he does have a record of being anti-gun.

  15. @obamawatch – If I steal a car, then use that car to rush a woman in labor to the hospital, I’m still guilty of grand theft auto.  If I rob a bank and then use that money to help a little orphan boy, I’m still guilty of armed robbery.  And if I obtain a gun illegally and use it to defend myself I still was in possession of an illegal firearm.  If obama had opposed the “exempt from armed robbery if you help an orphan” act would you say he was anti-orphan?  Besides, the law says it’s okay to have an illegal weapon so long as you shoot someone with it – doesn’t that seem a little insane to you?Obama hasn’t proposed or supported a single bit of gun legislation in 3 years as commander in chief.  If people buy the “he’s got a sinister plot to ban all guns” rhetoric this time they’re insane.Even if he was anti-gun and thought there should be federal restrictions against gun ownership (not just state restrictions) I think it would be fairly low on his list of priorities.
